2023 Cohort for our employer partners: IQ-EQ, Octopus Energy & Federated Hermes
Short Answer: No Long Answer: It's quite early
The common misconception from employers looking to enter the early careers space is that they feel like they've missed the *prime recruitment window*
If they don't launch during the typical application season, i.e. September to December.
This couldn't be further from the truth.
You can launch a programme at any time of the year because it is a talent-rich market.
At Beyond Education (BE), we planned and launched early career programmes in April, just under 6 weeks.
I am talking end-to-end experience:
→Marketing
→Recruitment
→Training materials
→Programme design
→Campaign production
For context, most early career campaigns last about 3 months, with extensive months of planning beforehand.
We move with speed when required and still deliver quality results.
Attracting talent in different seasons just boils down to how you position your marketing.
→Internship in winter: "Winternship"
→Launch it in spring: "Springternship"
→Go live in autumn: "Off-cycle program"
↳"Autumnship" doesn't sound as good…
Plus, launching at different times of the year means you don't go into a crowded market with other employers.
"Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not" - is not just a catchy saying...
It's an objective fact!
If you are on the fence about launching an Early Careers programme for 2024, this post should convince you otherwise.
You create the opportunities, and we provide access to talent.
It's that simple.
