Employers are pissed off at DEI suppliers. The feedback I've been getting on calls: → "I'm scrapping all partnerships next year" → "It's been an absolute waste of money" → "No results whatsoever" These are not paraphrased - They're verbatim. Direct quotes from DEI Leads & Talent Acquisition Heads. Comments on well-known industry suppliers, might I add! Unfortunately, I understand where they are coming from. Most suppliers are commercially driven. It's a money grab and status game of how many big-name employers they can get on their roster without considering tangible results. This leads to: →Less trust in legitimate suppliers →No buy-in from senior management We don't want that! So here's how to assess partnerships to avoid failed expectations: 1. Case Studies: Go through examples of previous partnerships - ask thorough questions on every aspect of the case study to uncover details about how results were delivered. 2. Talent Reach: Make sure they have access to desired target demographics or a proven method to access them to provide a continual pipeline. 3. Problem & Solution Framework: Outline a recurring challenge you are experiencing within your organisation and get their perspective on how they would address this with their proposed solution. This would give you an understanding of their delivery framework and approach. 4. Data Evidence: The best way to evidence impact and get buy-in from senior management is through data. This is clear evidence that shows tangible results and can also be used to inform future talent acquisition and DEI strategies. *Bonus* 5. Define Success: If you are convinced by all the above points and get into a partnership with a provider, it is essential to mutually agree on what successful outcomes look like at the onboarding stage to ensure expectations are aligned. — I've been receiving way too many rejections due to the negligible outcomes from incumbent providers, so it's in my best interest to give you these tips. I understand that the current macroeconomic factors require partnership budgets to be allocated more carefully and strategically, so I hope this helps. Feel free to book an appointment and test out this assessment with me. Who knows, maybe Beyond Education can be the solution to your DEI challenges in 2024 & beyond 🤞
